Dedicated/Static IP Address

If you are going to have an e-commerce web site and need to accept credit card payments online, your site will require a static IP address and a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Certificate.  The SSL Certificate authenticates whom the customer is doing business with online, and encrypts data being transmitted via the Internet.  The SSL Certificate also requires that you have a static IP address.
